IMAGINE Grants encourage and support CSD staff’s initiatives that advance equity and enhance students’ experiences in their school communities by embracing the IMAGINE values of Innovation, comMunity, Action, chanGe, Inclusivity, collaboratioN, Engagement .

The IMAGINE application period is from late summer through early fall each year. Anyone employed by CSD may apply, but all proposals must receive approval by an administrator prior to submission.

Grant requests may range from $500 to $5,000.

Successful grants typically support:

  • Innovative academic methods, programs, projects and activities

  • Specialty equipment, books, technology, and field trips needed to support the above

Priority will be given to requests that show one or more of the following:

  • Collaboration across classrooms and/or schools

  • Promise for increasing student achievement and leadership

  • Advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion

  • Potential for replication

  • Alignment with CSD Board goals: Excellent Learning Experience, Equitable Systems, Relevant & Engaging Learning, and Healthy Communities.

  • Additional consideration will be given to programs that reach institutionally underserved populations, understanding that the cost to students served may be higher.
