Student Opportunity for Success (SOS) Fund
More than one in three students in Corvallis are navigating poverty. Students in poverty not only need assistance with various educational costs, but also with basic needs. The Foundation’s SOS fund supplies emergency clothing, eye exams, glasses, school backpacks, hygiene supplies, and books on a case-by-case basis. It also covers fees for field trips, after-school activities, and advanced placement and SAT tests.
Homeless Education Fund
Over 250 students enrolled in Corvallis public schools are experiencing housing instability. These students face daily challenges that can curtail their ability to succeed in school. Working with a team of district staff, the Corvallis Public Schools Foundation funds emergency assistance and supportive services such as school tutoring, help with transportation, and access to weekend meals.
For students who plan to continue on to university or community college after graduation, Corvallis Public Schools Foundation administers six scholarships. If you are a donor and wish to contribute to an existing scholarship or establish a new scholarship, please contact us at 541-757-5857. See current scholarship opportunities here.
If you are a student interested in applying for a scholarship, please contact the career center office at your school. All scholarship applications are available at your high school career center and should be mailed or delivered to the Corvallis Public Schools Foundation by April 30.
