CHS Class of ’58 Vocational or Technical Training Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is intended to support a student pursuing vocational or technical training after graduating from Corvallis High School. This one-time award may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and other expenses and is paid to the student’s account at their training program. Students participating in community service, working part-time, or experiencing financial hardship may receive extra consideration.
Victoria Eastwood Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2022 in memory of Victoria Eastwood, this $1,000 nonrenewable scholarship is for students graduating from a Corvallis School District high school with plans to pursue a degree in the arts.
Anna J. H. Fang Journalism, Communication, and Cinematic Arts Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is for all graduating CSD students going into Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, Advertising, Videography, Cinematic Arts, or related fields. A graduate of Crescent Valley High School, Ms. Fang’s career entailed working overseas in Public Relations with people from all over the world, and with this scholarship, she intends to support students considering similar fields.
Anna J. H. Fang Scholarship for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
The STEM Scholarship is a $1,000 award for all graduating CSD students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field. Preference will be given to students from demographic groups that have been historically underrepresented in STEM.
Eric Gorski Multimedia Scholarship
Established in honor and memory of Eric Gorski, a Crescent Valley High School graduate, class of 1998. His creativity and talents found expression in his drawing, cartooning, animation, screenwriting, filmmaking, and editing. Two scholarships for $750 each will be awarded to graduating seniors from Corvallis High School or Crescent Valley High School pursuing an education in Multimedia Design.
The Grit, Growth, and Goals Scholarship
Established in 2021 by Ray Yagloski, this $1,425 scholarship is intended to support a Crescent Valley High School college-bound student financially. Students who are student-athletes interested in STEM majors may get slightly more consideration but a gritty essay and ambitious future goals will be the highest considerations.
Susan Small Hall Scholarship
This endowed fund was established to provide a $1,000 annual college scholarship to a graduating senior who demonstrates leadership and academic achievement. Preference is given to students who have participated on a Corvallis golf team.
John Houston Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of former middle school science teacher Mr. John Houston, this $2,000 scholarship is intended to encourage students to pursue a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or a related field. Preference may be given to those facing financial hardship or other challenges to college success.
Lynn Lahey Somos el Futuro Scholarship
This fund was established by former 509J principal Lynn Lahey to support an annual $500 college scholarship for a bilingual student from Corvallis High School or Crescent Valley High School.
Olaf ‘Ole’ Hedstrom Memorial Scholarship
Established in memory of OSU Veterinary Pathologist Olaf Hedstrom, this fund supports a $500 scholarship for a graduating senior enrolling in a university in Pre-Veterinary Medicine, General Science, Animal Science, Zoology, Horticulture, or Agriculture.
Zach Peters Performing Arts and Education Scholarship
Established in memory of Zach Peters, this fund supports an annual $1,000 scholarship for a Crescent Valley High School graduate with plans to attend college, university, or art school and major in some aspect of Performing Arts or Education.
Dennis Staats Scholarship for the Arts
The Dennis Staats Scholarship for the Arts, established in 2021, is a $1000 annual scholarship for students graduating from Corvallis High School with plans to pursue a degree in the fine or performing arts.
David Zajicek Endowed Scholarship
This fund was established by CHS Girls’ Golf coach David Zajicek to provide a $1,000 annual college scholarship for a Corvallis High School graduate who has participated in at least two years of CHS Girls’ or Boys’ Golf.
Kenneth J. Stevenson Memorial Scholarship
Established in honor and memory of Kenneth J. Stevenson, the CHS boy’s varsity tennis coach from 1996 to 2019, this $1000 scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating senior from Corvallis High School who has played two or more years of varsity boys or girls tennis. The applicant must have plans to enroll in an accredited institution of post-high school learning.
