CPSF Doubles Impact, Supports Corvallis School District with $165K This Summer

Making a Difference for Our Students

The Corvallis Public Schools Foundation has awarded $165,000 to the Corvallis School District to support its summer programming. This significant funding will provide over 600 students with crucial educational opportunities and support services this summer, despite the absence of state funding.

Ryan Noss, Superintendent of Corvallis School District, expresses his gratitude:

“We are incredibly grateful for the Foundation’s support. These funds are a game-changer for our students and will make a tremendous difference in their lives. We are set to serve more than twice as many students as last year, thanks to the Foundation and our community.”

A pivotal $50,000 grant from the Sissel Family Impact Fund propelled this year’s fundraising success, inspiring many others to contribute and enabling the Foundation to more than double its impact from last summer. “We believe in the power of education and supporting our local schools,” say the Sissels. “We are thrilled to see the positive impact this will have on so many students.”

Supporting Critical Summer Programs

Just what exactly does this funding support? Essential summer programs such as high school credit recovery, math camps for students transitioning to middle or high school, and continued support services for those needing ongoing assistance over the summer. These programs would not be possible without community support, as no state funding is making its way to Corvallis this summer.

Angela Hibbard, Executive Director of the Foundation, emphasizes community involvement:

“This year, our community came together in an unprecedented way. Thanks to generous support from donors like the Sissels and many others, including our incredible sponsors, we can fund essential summer programs that will help our students succeed. We couldn’t have done it without the generosity of our supporters.”
