Foundation Staff Grows to Include Development Director

New Position Reflects Foundation’s Commitment to Student Success

This month, the Corvallis Public Schools Foundation is expanding its staff team with the hiring of Kim Holmes as full-time Development Director. This new position represents an exciting milestone and a significant increase in capacity.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kim to our team,” said Executive Director Liv Gifford. “She brings extensive fundraising experience at both local and national levels and will propel our organization into the next phase of growth.”

Adding a development-related position was a strategic goal identified by the Board of Trustees more than a year ago. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the Board has stayed its course and remained committed to meeting critical benchmarks.

“We’ve hit max capacity with our current staffing model,” added Ashlee Chavez, Chair of the Board of Trustees. “The Foundation will create a major-donor program under Kim’s guidance and look for additional ways to increase annual donations.”

Kim comes to the Corvallis Public Schools Foundation from NIRSA, where she served as Director of Philanthropy for the past six years. Prior to NIRSA, she served as Development Director for CASA of Linn County for several years.

“Offering a strong educational experience is one of the best gifts that we can give to our children and future,” Kim says. “This is what fulfills me as a development director — the opportunity to connect with people, see the goal from their individual perspective and support them in achieving those goals with their philanthropy.”

Kim and her husband have lived in the Willamette Valley since 2005. Her son graduated from Crescent Valley High School in 2020 and her daughter will graduate from CV in 2023.

Kim looks forward to deeper involvement in our community and public schools. “It’s been a great experience and community to be part of as a parent,” she said. “I look forward to getting to know the Foundation’s many dedicated supporters.”

Kim can be reached at [email protected] or at 541-757-5857 beginning on Monday, April 18.
