Thank you for your generous support of basic needs and food security during school closures this spring. Your donations are fulfilling dozens of requests from families each week. And even though it is summer now, our efforts to support families in crisis are ongoing.
Thanks to you, Welcome Center staff have served nearly 1,200 people in the past three months. Staff have fulfilled 584 requests for food, 119 requests for laundry cards, 424 requests for grocery gift cards, and 480 requests for cleaning supplies, personal hygiene products, and school supplies.
Your gifts have also provided 225 boxes of fresh, local produce from Riverland Family Farms directly to the doorsteps of families. We are grateful to Dial-a-Bus for providing ongoing delivery services. We will continue to supply produce to families until at least the end of August.
These efforts are easing the burden of food insecurity and preventing families from spiraling into homelessness. For kids experiencing adversity, this source of care and connection is a lifeline.
Normally, the Welcome Center closes during the summer months. However, thanks to your generosity, this summer we will sustain services until schools reopen again. We will also support continued outreach over the summer to students in crisis. Learn more about the summer programs we are supporting here.
With your support, we know Corvallis kids will emerge from this unusual period of time as resourceful and resilient young people. Make a donation to sustain this work here. Thank you for your generosity!
