Thank you to the many community members who have expressed concern about the welfare of students during the mandatory school cancellation period.
Lunch will be available at no cost to any student 18 or under at four sites in Corvallis. Meal sites will be open 12 – 1 pm, Monday through Friday from March 16 – 31.
In addition to free lunch, our goal is to provide supplemental food and hygiene supplies to families in need. Bags containing a variety of nutritious foods and household items will be available at the meal sites. School family advocates are also reaching out to families who may need emergency financial assistance, such as help paying for rent or utilities.
We are grateful for the many individuals and organizations who are stepping up to be part of this effort, including Dial-a-Bus of Benton County, which is offering delivery assistance for families without transportation.
