Congratulations to this year’s Golden Apple Award winners: Claudia Bouvier, Garfield School office manager; Ruben Sandoval, 3rd grade teacher at Garfield; Jenny Davis, science teacher at Cheldelin; and Jeff Peak, math, social studies, and physical education teacher at College Hill.
The Corvallis Public Schools Foundation awards four Golden Apple Awards per year, thanks to an endowment started in 1996 by the Mario and Alma Pastega Family Foundation.
An article in the Gazette Times on March 1, said that Jeff Peak “…is motivated to do all he does for students because he wants to find ways for them to get involved and feel like they belong, which will in turn motivate them to come to school.”
