Brenda VanDevelder has been named the new executive director of the Corvallis Public Schools Foundation.
An Oregon State University graduate, VanDevelder comes to the school district after serving as executive director of the daVinci Days Festival in Corvallis for the past seven years. In all, she has 23 years of marketing and fundraising experience.
The Corvallis Public Schools Foundation was established in 1995 to support students and teachers of the Corvallis School District by matching educational needs with the resources of dedicated contributors. It typically manages more than $700,000 a year in donations to various schools and district-wide projects.
“Brenda has a proven history of successfully coordinating and marketing large events, fundraising and building relationships throughout the community,” said Jennifer Duvall, human resources director. “We believe she will do great things for the foundation.”
VanDevelder will begin her new job with the foundation on Sept. 19.
